Designer

Suenn Ho is an urban designer in Portland, Oregon. She has been involved with Astoria's Garden of Surging Waves project since 2006.

Suenn has practiced urban design in Boston, Pittsburgh, New York City, France and Hong Kong. She taught architectural design at Columbia College (as a graduate fellow), the University of Hong Kong, and the University of Oregon, where she continues to serve as an adjunct professor for the school's urban architecture program. Her design work can be found in several Portland area projects, including Pacific Tower in the Chinatown neighborhood, the West Linn Public Library expansion, and development and streetscape plans for Old Town/Chinatown.

Suenn is active in her community, and has served on the boards of various community arts and cultural organizations. She has lived and worked in Portland since 1994.

It is a U.S.-based architecture and design firm with headquarters in Bellevue, Washington and branch offices in Portland, Oregon; Irvine, California; Washington, D.C. and Shanghai, China. It was ranked the 13th largest architectural firm in the U.S. in 2008.

The firm's work ranges from Costco outlets and Nike Factory Stores to the Grand Hyatt Seattle, the Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, the Redmond City Hall and several overseas high-rises, including the China Construction Bank, Shanghai Fudan Crown Plaza Hotel, and headquarters for the Fujian Provincial Electric and Power Company.
